Resilient offers the following programs that mentor and equip marginalized youth with life skills, independence and self-empowerment while also supporting their families and larger community to create a strong foundation.

Mentoring High School Students

UPSTART:

PROVIDES NON-COLLEGE BOUND STUDENTS THE KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS NECESSARY TO SEEK REWARDING CAREERS. OPPORTUNITIES INCLUDE ENTERING AN APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM IN THE CONSTRUCTION TRADES AND/OR NON-UNION POSITIONS. STUDENTS WILL ALSO BE MENTORED IN CHARACTER AND SPIRITUAL DEVELOPMENT.

UPSTART-GENE HAAS Foundation Scholarship: 

The Gene Haas Foundation aims to support young people by providing scholarships to ensure they have the skills necessary when entering the workforce and launching their future careers. Current or past students of UPSTART, or students attending any UPSTART partner school, is a candidate for the UPSTART-GENE HAAS Foundation Scholarship. Empowerment Club:

A WEEKLY PROGRAM OFFERED DURING THE HIGH SCHOOL LUNCH PERIODS THAT PROVIDES MENTORING AS WELL AS MOTIVATIONAL AND EDUCATIONAL PRESENTATIONS FOR ALL INTERESTED STUDENTS.

The Good News Club is a weekly inter-denominational Christian program offered after school for 5-to-12-year-old children featuring a Bible lesson, songs, memory verses and games.

Kids Hope

Weekly in-school mentoring of children in need of the consistent support of an adult at north, york center, and stevenson elementary schools.

Sports Ministry

A PROGRAM THAT PROVIDES A SAFE SPACE TO PLAY, BUILD A RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD AND LEARN FUNDAMENTAL LIFE LESSONS THROUGH THE GAME OF BASKETBALL OR SOCCER. PROGRAM OFFERED TO ELEMENTARY AND MIDDLE SCHOOL YOUTH.

Caring for individuals, families, and the community 

Thursday Night Community Meals

Dinner served monthly to students, families and neighbors in need of nourishment in coordination with community engagement and speakers on life skills. THE PROGRAM ALSO OFFERS PRAYER SUPPORT AND DISTRIBUTES BIBLES TO MEAL RECIPIENTS.

Alpha - coming soon!

Alpha explores the Christian faith over 11 weekly sessions. Each talk looks at a different question around faith and is designed to create conversation. Alpha is run all around the globe, and everyone is welcome.
